With soft edges, a futuristic flare and an ability to add programmatic pods as needs grow - Cove is a design with tomorrow in mind. The inspiration stemmed from two places. The first, a transformative gesture to the simplest observation of a home - the box. Slicing the volume and delicately pulling the form to articulate window openings. Furthermore, to promote a relationship between daylight in and views out, the two bookends are entirely glass - accentuating more of a capsule or tube-like appearance. Each segment meant to take on an individual program - a conscious decision to allow ease of expansion as families and needs grow. Visually, as you move along the structure, one experiences expanding segments and stepping volumes from one end to the other - a tangible observation of time and movement, a metaphor intended to mirror ripples at the water’s surface as a result of impact. A reflection out of which Cove was born.
